Sharing options overview (pros and cons)

TL;DR Pick the sharing method that fits the room: participant link for remote, QR code for in-person, embed for slides/websites, and Link to Meeting for Zoom. The table below summarizes when to use each.

Each sharing method suits a different situation:

Method Best for Pros Watch-outs
Participant link Remote / chat or email Works on any device; easy to paste into chat Long URLs; participants must click through
QR code In-person / on a slide Instant scan, no typing; great on a big screen Needs a camera and line of sight to the screen
Embed (iframe) Slides & web pages Live content lives inside your deck or site Requires an embed-capable surface; sizing to manage
Link to Meeting Zoom calls Participants interact inside the meeting app Requires the meeting ID and the right platform

Embedding offers two options: the Full Display Page (the whole live view) or Individual Activity Embeds (a single activity), so you can drop just one poll into a slide if you prefer.

Ask the assistant • Which sharing method should I use for an in-person workshop? • What is the best way to share in a remote meeting? • Can I embed just one activity in a slide? • What are the downsides of QR codes?
