Installing the add-in — choose your path
| TL;DR The add-in installs from two small manifest files. If you (or your organization) have access to the Microsoft 365 admin center, use it — it is the smoothest path, even for a one-person business. |
|---|
The add-in has two parts, each with its own manifest file:
| Part | What it does | Manifest |
|---|---|---|
| Task pane | The control panel on PowerPoint's Home tab — pair a session, link activities to slides, advance quizzes, AI summaries | manifest.xml |
| Live Results frame | The animated live-results box you place on a slide — updates in real time during your slideshow | manifest-content.xml |
Install both for the full experience. The add-in's code is hosted by Facilitator Tools and updates automatically — installing is a one-time step.
Which option am I?
- Your organization manages your Microsoft 365 (an IT admin exists) → follow Install for your organization, or forward that page to your admin.
- You are an independent facilitator with your own Microsoft 365 subscription → you are the admin of your one-person organization. Use the same admin steps and assign the app to “Just me”.
- You cannot access an admin center at all → see Install as an individual facilitator.
